--------------------------------------------- PLANET ANOMALY ALERT 2005 #5 (issued 29-Jun, 21:40 UT) --------------------------------------------- OGLE 2005-BLG-333 has passed A_0 ~ 60 peak and might show anomaly Dear Colleagues, after the OGLE collaboration announced that event OGLE-BLG-333 was about to rise to a very high peak magnification, recent data collected by PLANET with the Canopus 1.0m near Hobart (Tasmania) show that a peak at A_0 ~ 60 occured around HJD=2453551.16 (29-Jun, 15:50 UT), and is falling now with the current magnification expected around A ~ 30. Rather than strong finite-source effects, our data indicate an anomalous deviation lasting a few hours that might be attributed to the presence of a low-mass planet surrounding the lens star. However, a definitive claim requires a check of our preliminary on-line reduction along with proper modelling. Futher monitoring is required in order to obtain a reliable determination of the model parameters. A light curve plot and data files for this event are available on our webpage, which is frequently updated. Event: OGLE 2005-BLG-333 RA (J2000): 18:04:49.69 Dec (J2000): -28:45:55.4 The baseline I magnitude reported by the OGLE team is 18.656 +/- 0.003.
